National Aging and Disability Transportation Center

Transportation · District of Columbia · Free

NADTC — promotes accessible community transportation for older adults. A first stop for veterans, dialysis patients, and seniors with disabilities who qualify for paratransit. Volunteer driver programs typically need 48 hours' notice and ask for a small donation; many also escort the senior in and out of appointments. Transportation is the #1 reason seniors miss medical appointments; it's also a leading reason for social isolation. No cost to older adults or the people helping them.
