National Aging and Disability Transportation Center

Transportation · Rhode Island · Free

NADTC — promotes accessible community transportation for older adults. Built for older adults who've stopped driving or can't safely manage it, and family caregivers coordinating doctor visits. Most paratransit programs require an application, doctor's note, and a few weeks of advance scheduling for regular rides. Stopping driving is one of the hardest decisions for a senior; having transportation lined up before that conversation makes it easier. No cost to older adults or the people helping them.
